ANNFSU demands investigation into death of student Acharya
KATHMANDU - All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) demonstrated here on Friday demanding an investigation into the death of a student, Samikshya Acharya.
Acharya, a ninth grader at Horizon Boarding School, Surkhet, died on Thursday while she was in a line to welcome Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Organising a corner meeting after the demonstration, ANNFSU Chairperson Nabina Lama demanded action against the guilty, saying it was irresponsible to involve students in the programme to welcome political leader by closing schools.
Similarly, ANNFSU Vice-Chairperson Mahesh Bartaula said that compensation should be given to the family of the victim student.
