Constitution amendment bill tabled at House amidst opposition's din
KATHMANDU - The government has finally tabled the Nepal's Constitution Amendment Bill-2073 at the second meeting of the Legislature-Parliament amidst protest from the opposition parties on Sunday.
Minister for Law, Justice and Federal Affairs Ajay Shankar Nayak presented the bill amidst the din by the opposition parties including the CPN (UML).
Prior to this, the meeting refused by majority votes the separate note of dissent presented by lawmakers Prem Suwal and Chitra Bahadur KC against the constitution amendment bill.
The Legislature-Parliament is to meet again at 1:00 pm Monday.
